Parish Council Websites
As part of the Transparency code for smaller authorities, issued by the Department for Communities and Local Government, regulations came into force that require parish councils to publish their financial data, meeting agendas and minutes, and other information "on a website that is publicly accessible free of charge".
Carruthers Solutions has produced a suitable ‘template’ parish council website that complies with the Transparency code and is already used by several Nottinghamshire parish councils. The template website uses the proprietary Spanglefish content management system (CMS) which is relatively intuitive to use, has a helpful support system, and has in-built provision for display on mobile devices.
If you are the clerk for a parish council that requires a Transparency code compliant website, please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
We created, and now maintain, a number of small websites for local parish councils to ensure they meet the transparency requirements. These include:
- Plumtree Parish Council;
- Normanton-on-the-Wolds Parish Council;
- Stanton-on-the-Wolds Parish Council;
- Widmerpool Parish Council.
